Dr. Richard C. Demeritte
A Chartered Accountant by profession was appointed auditor general of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas in February 1980. In 1984 he was appointed High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and later as The Bahamas’ first Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Belgium, the Federal Republic of Germany; the Republic of France; and the European Economic Community.
